On Mental Health Awareness Week

To those of us who feel lonely, who feel unlovable, who feel overwhelmed, who feel less than, who feel worthless, who feel broken:

You are missed.

You are loved.

You are capable.

You are enough.

You are worthy.

You are strong.

The world can make it hard to believe these truths. We are taught to deny ourselves compassion to serve the comfort of others. We are taught that happiness is gained only via a narrow definition of success. We are taught that chronic stress is a symptom of achievement, rather than a sign of imbalance in our lives.

These things are not true.

Be compassionate to yourself. Believe in yourself. Love yourself.

You deserve it.
